We're almost halfway through the harvest, and the feeling is very good. The grapes are in excellent health. It's important to note: although it has rained more in other areas of the island during the cycle, rainfall in our plots has been less; after significant rains in March, the rest of the cycle has been quite dry. Therefore, we estimate a yield approximately 10% lower than in 2024.
It hasn't been as hot a year as previous years, and the cool down at the end of July slowed ripening, providing greater natural acidity. The musts that are fermenting are sensational: this extra acidity gives them freshness and balance—fantastic news, especially for this vintage's whites and rosés.
We'll have to wait and see how the weather progresses in the coming weeks, as the Mallorcan reds are still in the final stages of ripening and their health is impeccable.
