Tianna 5.4 Sa Madona Red

Tianna 5.4 Sa Madona is a medium-bodied red wine with a ruby color. It has intense aromas with a predominant note of ripe plum, which is very typical of the variety. There are also mineral notes that reflect the terroir of the estate, as well as a spicy background.

The name “Sa Madona” is in honor of Mrs. Antonia Garau, the owner of the vineyard and winery.

This wine is produced by Celler Tianna Negre using grapes from the oldest Manto Negro vineyard on the property, which has been planted for over 45 years in the goblet style. The estate is called Son Biel.

Manual harvest and selection of the healthiest and ripest bunches in the vineyard.
Elaboration
After hand destemming and subsequent grain-by-grain selection, the must is fermented with its skins in a new 500-liter French oak barrel, with an open lid. Once the pre-fermentation maceration with cold for 5 days is finished, fermentation begins and manual punch-downs are carried out daily for 15 days. Post-fermentation maceration for 5 days before racking. 6 months in a second-year 500-liter French oak barrel. This wine has not been filtered or clarified.
Tasting note

Red ruby wine with medium intensity.
Intense aromas with a predominance of ripe plum, very typical of the variety; very present mineral notes, reflecting the terroir of the estate and a spicy background (clove, cinnamon, black pepper).
On the palate, it is meaty with mature tannins and a firm finish. Long and pleasant aftertaste.
