Almost a year after its harvest, the 2024 harvest at the Tianna winery Negre, located in Binissalem, continues to generate buzz. The first wines confirm what was already suspected in the vineyard: it was a harvest of the highest quality, the result of an exemplary combination of manual labor, advanced technology, and a commitment to organic viticulture.

From the vineyard, Tianna Negre is committed to environmentally friendly, organic viticulture that prioritizes soil care, biodiversity, and the health of those who work the land. This approach, which excludes the use of synthetic substances, is key to the pursuit of an authentic and sustainable product.

Precision in the field and in the winery

During the 2024 campaign, the technical team carried out rigorous yield management by vine, supported by manual tasks such as defoliation and bunch selection. Despite the September rains, which caused some concern in the sector, the grapes arrived at the winery in excellent health, thanks to constant monitoring and good natural ventilation of the vineyards.

One of the major innovations of the year was the addition of new harvesting machinery. In particular, the new destemmer allowed for much more precise bunch selection, eliminating overripe or dried grapes before they reached the press. This intervention significantly improved the quality of the must and, therefore, of the final wine.

A promising vintage

Today, with white and rosé wines on the market, and the reds developing their aging, it is confirmed that 2024 has been one of the best vintages of the last decade in Tianna.
